Financial Literacy Program
Veterans for Diversity, Inc in partnership with New York Life is supplying a financial literacy program open to veterans. This program is being run by New York Life and located at our offices at 252 E. Highland Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53202.
Andrew C. Vila, CPA, MST, is an Agent and Financial Services Professional
with New York Life Insurance Company and a Registered Representative with NYLIFE Securities, LLC, a broker/dealer. Mr. Vila has been helping individuals, families, and businesses in financial matters for over 20 years, and as an Financial Services Professional with New York Life since 2010. New York Life’s Milwaukee General Office recognized Mr. Vila as the Long-Term Care insurance leader of the Year 2010.
Mr. Vila is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Wisconsin. Andy has his life and health insurance licenses and his securities licenses in the States of Wisconsin and Florida. Andy has passed Series 6 and Series 63 licenses.
Mr. Vila’s previous professional experience includes employment with various Wisconsin based corporations where he provided accounting, tax, auditing and financial services to those business entities. Andy’s responsibilities at New York Life Insurance Co. and NYLIFE Securities, LLC include meeting with clients and prospects, researching client issues, and preparing and presenting financial plans and updates. His areas of concentration include budgeting, insurance analysis, asset accumulation, retirement planning, estate planning, and education planning.
Mr. Vila graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and with a Master of Science in Taxation from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. Andy is a member of the Society of Financial Services Professionals, the Mequon-Thiensville Chamber of Commerce, the North Shore Senior Resource Network, the Waukesha Senior Concerns Consortium, and a member of the Milwaukee LGBT center. Andy also serves on the Board of Stewards at Plymouth Church UCC, Milwaukee and on the Board of Directors for My Good Mourning Place – a childhood bereavement center.
